The safety of our patients and staff is our top priority.
Here at Sydney Surgical Centre we are taking all appropriate steps to ensure the safety of our patients and hospital staff. Along with our existing high level hospital hygiene and infection control protocols, there are additional measures in place.
All Patients will be screening during their pre-operative phone call. The questions we will ask are:
If you answer yes to any of these questions, your procedure will be postponed to another date.
Screening on arrival for surgery:
All staff, patients, doctors and visitors will be screened and temperature taken on arrival.
All patients and visitors will be required to wear a mask at all times. Please bring a mask with you, or if you don't have one we will supply one.
Due to social distancing requirements, visitors/escorts are not permitted to stay at the centre. The only exception to this is one parent for paediatric patients.
Visitors/Escorts are required to wait for a phone call from our recovery staff before coming to pick up their patient.
